EDINBURGH
White Space was prompted by both the unique writings of Jonathan Meades, and by a favorite painter of his, Pieter Saenredam. One of the late Renaissance Dutch masters whose style arguably has lasting influences in visual art until the present day, his works are cardinal examples of strikingly accurate of perspective painting.
The National Galleries of Scotland invited Fenella Humphreys to perform White Space in August of 2016, before their glorious example of Saenredam’s work.
